A group of college students go head to Digby Lake one morning to have a little fun and relax.  They arrive at the lake on nice warm day and start swimming along with many other people.  Little do they know that there is a crazy, psycho lurking in the wooded area near by and he is watching them.  He has serious issues with people who come to the lake.  He hates the noise and thinks they are lazy.  The first to disappear is one of the college students named Gwen.  Her friends don't realize that she is being killed not even a mile away.  The roar of the people drowned out her screams for help.  When the killer spots Cody and Sonya from the group of college students he becomes obsessed with them.  Sonya reminds him of his mother and Cody reminds him of one of his mother's old boyfriends.  He wants to kill them so badly.  He ends up killing many other people as he waits for his chance to get his hands on Sonya and Cody.  He does get his chance when Sonya, Cody, and their friends Matt and Kim venture onto the trail through the woods in search of their friends Lucas and Valerie.  Sonya and Cody split up and go one way while Matt and Kim go another.  Cody leaves Sonya's side for just a few seconds and the killer grabs her.  He takes her down the trail and ties her to a tear where he begins to taunt her while he waits for Cody to come to her rescue.  Who will survive?  Will Cody and Matt be able to save Sonya before she is killed?
